Taylor Swift was recently performing for three unforgettable nights in Stockholm (cue ecstatic, uncontrollable fangirling!). This event is monumental, and I know I'm not alone in feeling this way. Surprisingly, I found myself without a chosen outfit just one day before the concert. Whether it was decision fatigue, excitement-induced procrastination, or a year spent watching fans perfect their looks on social media, there were plenty of factors at play. Should I honor a specific era? Go with a color-themed ensemble or replicate one of Taylor's iconic outfits? Maybe a DIY creation? Or a subtle nod to a favorite lyric? Practical considerations were also important. With Taylor performing 45 songs over three-plus hours and the European shows featuring standing general admission on the floor, comfort was key for a night filled with standing, dancing, and singing.
On top of all this, Taylor just released her new album, The Tortured Poets Department, with 31 new songs to explore. She’s also revamped the setlist, rearranging albums, cutting some songs (farewell, "Long Live"), and integrating tracks from TTPD into the show with fresh outfits, visuals, and choreography.
A highlight of the evening was Taylor announcing the presence of Max Martin and performing a medley of their collaborative hits. This was followed by the world premiere of the beautiful new piano ballad “How Did It End?”, turning the moment into a cherished highlight of the concert.
